大紅袍 | Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe)

Zheng Yan, Wuyishan, Fujian Province.

This tea is one of the most well-known from the Wuyi Mountains. Cultivated from the legendary six original Da Hong Pao trees, it will accompany you through many steepings. With the lightest roast and oxidation of all our Wuyi teas, it is beautifully balanced and complex, offering a honey-floral, nutty-vanilla flavor. Believed to help fight colds and soothe sore throats, this tea literally cured me during our time in China.
